Our Mission

In our belief that the right to vote is the very cornerstone of our American Democracy, our mission is to administer free, fair and honest elections for all Montgomery County Citizens. We will represent our county as a positive governmental agency by our compliance with all Local, State and Federal Election Laws. We will continually strive to maintain the integrity of the electoral process.

Montgomery County Board of Elections will hold Municipal Absentee Board meetings on the following dates: 

  • 1st Absentee Meeting - 10/07/2025 - 5:00 pm
  • 2nd Absentee Meeting - 10/14/2025 - 5:00 pm
  • 3rd  Absentee Meeting - 10/21/2025 - 5:00 pm
  • 4th  Absentee Meeting - 10/28/2025 - 5:00 pm

*If there are no Absentee Ballots to review, there will be no board meeting for that date. Please call the Board of Elections office to find out the status of the meeting you would like to attend.

Meeting schedules will be on the second Tuesday of each month.

Unless otherwise noted, all meetings will be held in the Board of Elections Office at 327 North Main Street, Troy, NC 27371.
